The Department of Painting and Graphics develops the institute's common concept of educating young artists based on the high traditions of the academic school. The main goal is the formation of a harmonious, creative, socially active personality capable of successfully functioning in conditions of constant change. To gain the opportunity to join the world of the highest and enduring universal human values, which are embodied in the great works of world artistic culture; to accept as one's own the spiritual and cultural history of mankind, with all the responsibility that such an experience brings with it. Combining the methods of the European art school with the spiritual richness of folk art, art education provides a purposeful, organized process of immersion in the flow of world culture, giving a sense of deep personal connections with the development of humanity, with the past, present and future development of its people, the preservation and development of the centuries-old culture of the peoples of the Arctic.
The Department of Painting and Graphics is not only a creative workshop, but also a representative creative platform and laboratory; teachers actively participate in key expert art discussions, are members of the Union of Artists of Russia, and are opinion leaders on the most important issues in the field of art education in Yakutia. Young artists come to us with a creative, creative mindset, with faith in themselves and their ability to change the world for the better.
In 2022, ASHI won the academic leadership program "Priority 2030". In accordance with the Institute's development plan for 2022-2030, the department will open new relevant specializations for our region: 05/24/02. Painting. (Film and television artist), 05/54/03 Graphics (Animation and computer graphics artist). The programs will allow students to form interdisciplinary connections, choose individual learning paths where it is possible to combine the form of studio art (creative laboratories and workshops) with applied scientific research. All educational programs have a practice-oriented nature and are oriented towards creative forms of professional activity.
