The Arctic Civilization

ASICA scientists have proved the existence of an Arctic circumpolar civilization, the discovery is confirmed by a certificate of authorship and has received international recognition.

Yakut cinema

Teachers and graduates of ASICA are involved in the emergence of the phenomenon of Yakut cinema and the success of Yakut startups in the game industry.

Olonkho Theatre

We have created a unique theater based on the Yakut epic Olonkho, recognized by UNESCO as a masterpiece of the intangible heritage of mankind. The Olonkho Theater produces joint performances with the Chinese Kunqiu Theater, the productions have been highly appreciated by theater critics at festivals in Russia, India, China, and Japan.

Ethnomusicology

ASICA has a unique folklore archive and a collection of traditional musical instruments of the peoples of North Asia. Professor Yuri Sheikin, Head of the Scientific School of Ethnomusicology, joined the international team of authors of The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians at the invitation of Oxford University.
